In 2010, the German nurse Manuel Isabo, who lives in Tanzania, founded the Umoja na Upendo Community (Swahili for ‘community of unity and love’).
Initially known under the name ‘Afrikahelp’, the Umoja na Upendo Community (UnUC) is now an organization registered in Moshi-Kilimanjaro, Tanzania with the vision of creating a community in which women, children and men meet in love and unity and in Strive for a better life in the community.

Umoja na Upendo Children's Home
When Manuel Isabo founded the children’s home, it was his goal to offer children a harmonious and familiar environment in which they can develop freely and individually.
Community Work
Through individual aid and projects to strengthen the community, UnUC contributes beyond the gates of the children’s home to improve the living conditions of people in the neighborhood.
Our Background
It all started in a small house, where boys, who previously lived on the street found a new loving home. The children’s home quickly became a central point of contact for the whole neighborhood.
